Hanukkah Candle Lighting: An Invitation (spread the word!) Beginning Tuesday December 12 at 5:30 pm
We invite our members, friends and community to our annual outdoor Hanukkah lighting, each night at 5:30 pm, Tuesday December 12 through Tuesday December 19. Our 9-foot, Missoula-made Hanukkiah (aka menorah) proudly adorns the front of our building, and this is its time to shine!
We bless the candles and recruit kids to throw the switches. Then we tell a Hanukkah story, sing a Hanukkah song or two, and retire inside for hot cider and holiday treats. We would LOVE your good company! And we won’t keep you long (maybe 30 minutes total, outdoors and in), unless you choose to linger.
Chanukah Party! Saturday, December 16, 6 pm
Celebrate Hanukkah with a community potluck, and latkes, dreidels, live music. We’ll play kid and adult Jewparday, and you’ll be treated to a short theatrical piece, “Judah gets his Groove Back.” Come light menorahs, eat latkes with all the trimmings, sing Hanukkah songs and dance to music from our house band, Chutzpah!
Winter Fair at the Fairgrounds Sunday, December 17, 1-4 pm
We’ll have a space for a Hanukkah storytelling hour and dreidel games in the first ever Western Montana Winter Fair. The fair is FREE and open to the community.
